FLUID SPACES MODULATED BY COLOUR. AND BY MADRAS® GLASS.
Only glass enables space to be modulated without creating barriers, because it allows the passage of light. Only Madras® glass enables surfaces to be modulated by choosing between eight different standard linear patterns, in four float glass colours, and in all the thicknesses used by glass suppliers. But that’s not all. With laminating techniques (using EVA and PVB), it’s possible to transform the base colour of the glass into colours and tones not available in the narrow range of float colours: a touch of interesting blue, yellow, red… This makes it easy to create architectural elements of certain impact, giving character to work, hospitality or domestic spaces.
The Madras® processing, whatever the chosen pattern, can be appreciated on one side of the laminated panel, while the glass on the other side will be smooth and sparkling or satin-finish: the choice of which side to use as the main one will depend on where it is and on taste. In any case, even the textured side is very simple to maintain: a microfibre cloth, water and maybe some glass detergent are sufficient for routine cleaning. Because Madras® glass is pure float glass, not painted: it doesn’t change over time, whatever the light and temperature conditions.

Remember, lastly, that laminated glass has all the safety characteristics required by law for interiors. Lamination is therefore an indispensable operation but it can also be exploited – when using Madras® glass – for other, aesthetic purposes in interior design.
