Biarritz’s legendary Hôtel de la Plage reopened its doors in June 2022, following an extensive renovation. Located on Biarritz’s Port Vieux, the hotel offers a breathtaking view of the Rocher de la Vierge, accessible via a pedestrian footbridge and overlooking the beach. The 25-room 4* hotel features a roof-top and restaurant.
The location reflects the “surf and sun” spirit of the Basque coast, creating a rejuvenating interlude just a few meters from the beach. Predominantly white, the facades are punctuated by balconies and loggias that benefit the rooms.

The use of Madras® Nuvola glass allows the glazed balustrades to be perfectly integrated into the overall volumetry, while offering the necessary degree of privacy to room occupants. In fact, the shielding at the bottom is provided by the delicate but very effective satin finishing of the glass, which softly fades to full transparency. The result? An effect of great naturalness, in perfect fusion with the sky and the surrounding light.
