Madras® is the brand name that distinguishes the glass produced by Vitrealspecchi, the Italian company with the longest experience in the world in the satin finishing and engraving of flat glass on an industrial scale.
Founded in 1939 by a family group that had been working in glass processing since the beginning of the century, Vitrealspecchi is still based in Lombardy, in the heart of the country’s most productive district, specialising in furniture manufacturing and design.
Here, Vitrealspecchi transforms around 500,000 square metres of float glass into high-quality material for architecture and design every year.

Current safety laws require the use of tempered and/or laminated glass, while energy saving and acoustic isolation needs have made insulating glass units indispensable.
